We're just waiting now to have a house. Abby and I can't move until Chuck is in a bedroom so here's hoping something comes open soon!! Also I have my abayas and have learned how to wrap a makeshift head covering when needed so we're getting there.
Been a rough week though. If you don't know, I fell and strained the ligaments in my foot and sprained my ankle so I'm on crutches with a brace with a very stylish shoe. I'm just grateful it happened here while we are visiting mom and dad and not in NC where I would have been on my own with Abby. As long as I baby it for a few days I should be good by the time we leave - will just have a brace by the time we're on the plane.
Abby is loving grandma and pop pop's. there's kittens (14 total), horses, cows, chickens and ducks so she is turning into a real country girl. Not to mention grandma is spoiling her rotten! I have to admit I'm enjoying it too. Family is helping with Abby and it's so good to see so many old friends, some that it's been nearly 15 years! Oh and mom and dad doing laundry is great given the fun I had with our washer and dryer before we left!
Looking back this has been a long, drawn out process but things are really moving now. I'm even starting to plan our travels since our first r&r is only about 6 months away! I'm really proud of my baby girl. I know this has been a crazy 3 months but she's adjusting wel and has really hung in there. Right now she loves helping mommy and playing doctor - and the fact mommy can't chase her very well on crutches! Hopefully my next post will include our flight dates and a timeline of when we will finally be heading to the land of sand!
