I was very happy with the whole process though. The triage nurse was wonderful. We were taken right back to see the dr and he was very thorough. He checked her ears and listened to what we had to say as well.
She has the start of cold/flu and an ear infection. We were given antibiotics that we picked up right at the hospital, along with ibeuprofin and the equivalent of zofran for vomiting. They gave us a large supply to keep on hand (just like our ped in the states does). And we have a follow up apt in 7 days.
Her fever is now coming down and she's eaten a little and has drank a bit of juice. We're resting and cuddling today. Glad we brought her nebulizer and tons of albuterol though!
Hopefully this will be a short illness but overall I have to say I was very impressed with the medical care she received this morning. One less thing to worry about and another new experience down :)
