Well we survived the holidays in Saudi and the new year :). Welcome 2013 and all that it may bring! Can't imagine that we'll top 2012 in changes, but who knows!
Our Christmas was good but a little different. We went to 2 Christmas parties, both with Santa so I had one excited little girl. Christmas Day was different. Abby woke up bright and early ready to go, but we had to wait for daddy to get home and wake up grandma and pop pop to watch us open presents on Skype. Daddy had to work, but popped in and out to check on us as I assembled toys all day. No ham for dinner, but we did have a Christmas chicken!
New Years was fun as well. We went to a friends house and had an amazing feast. I was able to wish all our friends and family a happy new year about 8 hours early :).
We've been busy working in the yard and getting more and more settled. It's hard to believe we've been here for 2 months already! Chuck's r&r is coming up and we're headed back to the states! I've been busy planning our whirlwind adventure of visiting family and friends and taking Abby and her sister to disney for a week.
Right now I'm knee deep in princess stuff since Abby is turning 3 in just 4 days. One thing here, there is no party center or Walmart, so we're having the party at our house and I'm hosting. Making crowns and decorations, along with a cake. That's a whole adventure in itself!
I'm also taking Arabic lessons. Which is a challenge. There are some sounds hat I do believe are out of my range, but I'm practicing. Maybe in the near future ill post in Arabic!
Here are some more recent photos of our holidays. Welcome 2013! Raising our glass of grape juice and toasting to the adventures to come!
